This wine is named after Guido’s wife Igiea: the name of the ancient Greek Goddess of Health. It is a wine of great personality thanks to the unique characteristics of the grape it is made of.

Carachteristics

Great acidity and freshness. Minimal tannins despite the long maceration. Linearity.

Current available vintage: 2007

Vinification: 40 days maceration on skins in wooden vats. Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, very low level of sulphur dioxide, no other additives used.

Aging: 2 years and a half in wooden barrels.

Production: about 8000 bottles

Age of the vines: 25-30 years

Aging potential: 20 years and more

Serving temperature: 15 ° -16

Food pairing: ideal with meat (especially game, wild boar …), sausages, cheese and risotto
